Itinerary
Your tour guide will pick you up from Alexandria Port upon your cruise ship arrival by the exit door, holding a sign with your name. Enjoy a private shore excursion from Alexandria to Cairo, approximately 3 hours by an air-conditioned vehicle with one stop in the middle of the way, in case you need a rest. you will be transferred to Saqqara area where the first pyramid in Egypt was built there, this one of king Djser which take the shape of step pyramid and which was built by his famous architect Imhotep, then you will head the famous Memphis area which was the ancient capital of Egypt to visit the statue of Ramses II and the Hathor temple. Lunch will be served at a quality local restaurant. Then The great pyramids at Giza plateau, where you can have unique opportunity to see the famous pyramid of Cheops which is considered one of the wonders of the ancient world and also to see the two other pyramids of Chephren and Mykerinos moreover the famous statue of sphinx, the tour also includes a visit to the Valley Temple, which belongs to the Pyramids of Chefren. After finishing your tour, you will move to the hotel for your overnight stay.
After breakfast you private tour guide will meet you in the lobby to start the tour and visit The Egyptian museum which located in the famous Tahrir square collecting more than 250000 of monumental pieces which dated back to different periods of Egypt history moreover the special exhibition of King Tut Ankh-Amun artifacts and his famous golden mask so. Lunch will be served at a Local Resturant in Cairo, then move on to visit Salah el Din Citadel, Albaster mosque of Mohamed Ali which was designed by the architect Yousif Boushnaq, a Turkish man who came especially from Istanbul to build this great mosque for Mohamed Ali, the ruler of Egypt (1805-1849) who ruled Egypt over 45 years. Continue driving to Islamic Cairo, where you will be to Khan El Khalil Bazaar, Cairo`s old bazaar (if there’s enough time). After that travel via air-conditioned modern vehicle back to Alexandria Port. Back to your cruise ship for the final departure.
